ABOUT PROJECT
The main purpose why I want to do the crowdfunding is because I was aspire to do a big change! Besides getting funding from you through Mystartr platform, I am keen to help tons of schools, institution in order to help them having the right source of tuning, proper playing skills and knowledge about Gamelan Instrument in Malaysia.
ABOUT ME
Hi. My name is Nurul Zaimah binti Zulkifli.I was born in Sandakan Sabah. Now, I am the final year undergraduate students of Bachelor Music (Hons) Performance in Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan, ASWARA. I am taking Music Traditional Performance, spesific in Malay Gamelan Instrument. Gamelan has always been my favorite instrument because it has a very unique tones and it has its own standard compared to other instruments in Malaysia. Now, I am on my 5th semester, which means on the next semester, it will be our INTERNSHIP semester. i have chosen Indonesia to go and having my internship because Indonesia was quite known as a country full of traditional arts.
WHY AM I DOING THIS?
This project are intentionally to support me during my internship in Indonesia for 4 months. For your information, Malay Gamelan Instrument has been one of our heritage in Malaysia but we are out of tuner and how it's made. This skills are only located in Indonesia. Hence, i am willing to go by myself and learn it there for the sake of our Gamelan enthusiasts and younger students here in Malaysia. There's a huge chance that i will be the first Malaysian who's going to discover tuning in Gamelan instrument and help tons of schools, institutions and other places as well. I really do appreciate your kindness and sincerity for being a supporter that is going to help me, making this a successful project. The place is called Gamelan Siswosumartan, located in central Java in Solo Surakarta, Indonesia. This company are responsible for many Gamelan sets in Indonesia and also in Malaysia. This company also one of the expertise in making Gamelan sets, tuning, and also playing.
BUDGET OUTLINE
Here are some of the approximate costs during my internship;

RISKS AND CHALLENGES
The main challenge of me going to other country for my Internship is obviously about my flight tickets, rented house, my transportations, the equipments for tuning musical instruments, and other things as well to make me survive throughout my 4 months being there. But i believe, when there's a will, there's a way. Nothing can stop me from doing what i think can help lot's of people especially those Gamelan enthusiasts in Malaysia and benefit our music industry in the future.
